What I can help with

I've spent a lot of time figuring out how computers actually work, solving problems, automating repetitive tasks, organizing large amounts of information, and learning my way through unfamiliar systems. Now I'd like to put those skills to work helping other people.

01

Windows Help & Cleanup

Troubleshooting, settings, software cleanup, startup issues, organization, updates, and the little problems that make a computer frustrating to use.

02

Backups & Organization

Help making sense of files, folders, drives, backups, network storage, and practical ways to keep important information safe.

03

Search & Problem Solving

Finding answers to obscure computer problems, researching documentation, testing solutions, and working methodically toward an answer when the obvious fix doesn't work.

04

Python & PowerShell

Small scripts and automation that can save time — from repetitive file operations to checking, comparing, organizing, and processing information.

05

Something Else?

If you're not sure whether I can help, ask. Sometimes the hardest part is figuring out what the problem actually is.

HOW I WORK

Patient first. Technical when necessary.

In my work, I have learned to work with those folks who know more than I do, and also those who have little to no experience with technical things. So, just talk to me about what you need in your terms, and we go from there. I like the challenge of trying to Help in new ways for those who can benefit from my experience.

I've spent the past several years building and fixing things for myself — everything from everyday computer problems to projects that required a much deeper understanding of Windows, networking, file systems, automation, scripting, data (sync, mirroring and versioning).

I have been creating and working on many computer projects in which I have become my own one-person team. I design, code, test and deploy these projects. My career in software support has taught me how to do the very simple things quickly, and also long-term planning that goes in phases.
